Utracon Malaysia's long-awaited company trip has FINALLY returned, and we triumphantly explored Club Med Cherating, Malaysia! Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 lockdown, this 3D2N trip provided a fantastic opportunity for the staff from both the Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru offices to enhance camaraderie, fostering better mutual understanding and allowing us to unwind from our work commitments.
This year, our theme is "Boot Camp", emphasizing the significance of teamwork through activities such as team building and pre-execution planning in our work initiatives.
Club Med extended a warm welcome to staff members from both Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Mr. Foo, one of the directors of Utracon Malaysia, delivered a brief opening speech. Door gifts were distributed, and everyone was assigned to their designated groups for a simple ice-breaking introduction.
To add an extra layer of excitement, this year's games featured a merging system, combining groups to create larger teams that competed against other merged groups. This innovative approach encouraged staff members to collaborate with different team members.
The organizers curated team-building activities that imparted valuable lessons in teamwork, respect for diverse opinions, recognizing the significance of each role regardless of position, and coordinating efforts in task execution. Despite variations in age, department, race, and position, everyone collaborated enthusiastically, striving to secure the exceptionally generous prize.
And, of course, it wasn't solely focused on team building. Adequate free time was allocated for everyone to explore and enjoy the resort at their own pace. The resort's entertaining activities provided an opportunity for individuals to socialize, fostering the formation of new friendships and strengthening the bonds among group members. This leisure time also allowed the staff to unwind and fully enjoy their vacation.
In no time, three days elapsed. Mr. Alfred, another director of Utracon Malaysia, delivered a meaningful closing speech to wrap up the trip, and prizes were distributed to the victorious teams. Although the trip was short-lived, the delightful memories forged and the shared laughter will undoubtedly become topics of conversation in the near future. As we bid farewell and head in our respective directions, we eagerly anticipate reconnecting on our next thrilling adventure!
